"The butterfly's wings in South America affect the wind patterns at the North Pole." M. Williamson

My journey to India was both challenging and fabulously rewarding. India's cities fill the senses with chaotic rhythm as an overabundance of people angle for scarce essentials needed to survive. Yet there is much dignity in their pursuit.

In contrast and in spite of scarcities and roadblocks, The Miracle Foundation and its generous donors created safe havens for orphaned children and filled them with the basics of a comfortable home and family living. The children and the house mothers and and all those who care for them provided the peace, love and caring. There is abundance here.

During our visit, we gave the children small gifts of candy, toys and playful attention. They gave us huge smiles and hugs and joy. I am filled with warmth and with gratitude to The Miracle Foundation family, both here and in India, and to the children whose strength of spirit knows no limits.

The Homes at Rourkela and Sooch Village

Our trip took us to two of the Foundation's homes. The home in Rourkela was taken over by the Foundation and little improvements have been made to the structure at this location. Soon, the plan is to rebuild it in the image of the Foundation's model facility, Sooch Village, located in Hatia, India. Although the structural differences are obvious, the soul of the children and their caretakers are the same.
